In 2012 I discovered...
-That one month in another country, changes your whole line of thought.
-That true friends are the ones that support you even when they do not agree with you or your decisions.
-That true friends defend you in front of true haters.
-That a true friend will NEVER judge you or try to put you down.
-That your family WILL indeed judge you but will NEVER stop you.
-That no matter how happy you seem outside, you're never as happy on the inside.
-That jerks are everywhere, even dressed as pretty young boys.
-That everybody at some point will lie to you, for whatever reason.
-That we CANNOT trust everybody.
-That true friends are ALWAYS there for you no matter how many times you walked out on them.
-That you will forgive but you will never forget.
-That people will talk a lot but you decide what to believe and what to do.
-That whatever you decide to believe is OK as long as it makes YOU happy.
-That no matter how happy a person makes you, happiness is within. NEVER COUNT ON SOMEONE ELSE.
-That no matter how many times a person refers to you as "best friend", if you don't feel the same, it's never worth it.
-That nobody can ever damage you unless you let them.
-That no matter how big is you smile, if you're not happy, it looks like a frown.
-That time runs fast and you will never be able to stop it, no matter what.
-That no matter how much a memory means to you, if it doesn't mean anything to the other person you will never treasure it as a happy memory.
-That pride is NEVER helpful but ALWAYS necessary.
-That no matter how much you love someone, if he/she does not love you back, you will always end up heart broken.
-That no matter how clear you want to be, if you're confused, you're confused.
-That a friend is a friend no matter how near or far he/she is.
-That no matter how many times you dye your hair to cover your newly found grays, newly found wisdom will never leave you.
-That a true friend tells you what you need to hear but first he/she thinks if what you need to hear is what you need in the moment.
-That sometimes you forget to eat but you NEVER forget a person that hurts you.
-That kids fix everything with a simple "eeney meeney miney moe".
-That love is never really what you think it is.
-That Prince Charming will NEVER knock on your door. Sorry!
-That dreams, other than your family, are the only things worth living for.
-That no matter what I do, I'm not a hundred dollar bill. Therefore, people will ALWAYS criticize me.
-That no matter how big is my drive to succeed, someone is going to try to bring me down.
-That you must forget people that forgets you.
-That we all laugh in the same way and we all have the same problems.
And last but not least, in 2012 I discovered:
-That you only need YOURSELF to be happy with who you are!
